The public swimming pool in Peace River will be much easier to use for those residents with accessibility needs by next spring.
The federal government has provided more than $17,000 for upgrades to the pool through their Enabling Accessibility Fund.
The money will go towards purchasing and installing a wall mounted lift in the change rooms of the Peace Regional Pool, along with an adjustable changing table and a brand new aquatic wheelchair.
The new modifications to the pool are expected to be installed in January of 2016.
