Catherine Ridgeway named Grande Prairie Storm Executive Director

The Grande Prairie Storm has named Catherine Ridgeway as its new Executive Manager. Ridgeway is a familiar name in the city of Grande Prairie having not only been born and raised here but has also been the Director of Events & Entertainment for the city for the past three years.

She says that she is excited to make the transition into sports management.

“My focus at first will be that community connection. Getting the team out into the community, getting to know the sponsors, and all the people related to the team, and really building those relationships.”

Ridgeway is taking over from former Storm Business Manager Ryan Carter and says she is excited to continue the work he has done and add to it.

“He did such a marvelous job with the team and has done such a great job with the sponsors and game day events. I can definitely bring in some more production elements with my background in concerts and live events. Marrying the two visions will be exciting.”

Ridgeway adds she is looking forward to adding to the community and the Grande Prairie culture through her new role.
