A new clinic dedicated to hair loss and scalp treatments has opened in Grande Prairie. The Restore Hair Loss & Scalp Clinic is one of only a handful of trichologists practicing in Canada and the largest north of Edmonton.
The business will focus on the diseases and causes of hair loss and scalp problems. Lead trichologist Sooraya Nuthall says the staff at the clinic have 20 years of experience combined with a handful of employees coming from hair replacement backgrounds.
“We’ve seen first-hand the negative effects hair loss and scalp conditions can have on the social and mental well-being of individuals struggling in this area. Within the first 21 days of opening the clinic, we saw over 70 patients both men and women ready to get to the root cause of their condition and finally get some answers and solutions. Being a part of that many people’s journey to restoring their confidence has been an experience so incredible, it’s hard to put in words!”
The facility focuses on practicing clinical trichology, in which a specialist creates a plan to deal with hair loss, scalp disorder, or disease. They work with patients on their hair loss from chemotherapy and radiation therapy and help make the hair regrowth process more comfortable. They also focus on non-surgical solutions to deal with hair loss and thinning issues.
