Centre 2000 to be lit blue Wednesday to celebrate Goodwill achievements

The City Centre 2000 will be lit up blue on Wednesday night as a nod to the contributions of GoodWill supporters and volunteers, as well as their achievements and the people they have served for the past 60 years.

Every year, the first week of May is proclaimed as Goodwill Week to celebrate those that have made Goodwill’s mission possible. Director of Brand Integrity and Marketing Doug Roxburgh says they have been fortunate to serve people with disability and make sure they get joy in their work.

“Our mission is to serve people with disability or berries to find meaningful employment. It is to create that purpose and dignity and joy for people who may not get that opportunity, says Roxburgh “So this week gives us a chance to showcase that awareness and celebrate the people who support Goodwill because you are supporting community members.

During this Week, the GoodWill in Grande Prairie is celebrating about 10 team members that do have disabilities and are looking for purpose through the power of work.

“This is a thank you week this could not be possible without proud supporters and people who donate. We are happing and grateful to everyone who made that possible.”
