As wildfires continue to burn in several locations across the region, the MD of Greenview has declared a state of local emergency. The regional government says the health and safety of residents and communities remains its top priority and it may take any number of actions it deems necessary to deal with the situation.
Currently, fire crews are battling a number of blazes in the MD of Greenview, including the large Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and Fox Creek fires.
