The evacuation area of the Sturgeon Lake Complex wildfire’s has expanded to include residents south of Township Road 722, between Highway 49 and Range Road 242.
As of 7:46 p.m. Saturday a a mandatory evacuation notice is in affect for those in the expanded evacuation area, along with residents of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and area north of the nation. Residents are being advised to have three days worth of clothing, water and medication ready, along with important documents.
