An out of control wildfire burning southeast of Sweathouse has resulted in the MD of Greenview issuing an evacuation alert for the area.
The alert is for residents who live in the area of Township Road 69-19-W5 and Township Road 68-19-W5, south of Township Road 700, north of Township Road 680 and east of Range Road 200.
Those who live in the alert zone are being advised to prepare to evacuate with one hour’s notice and to have enough supplies including medications, food and water for seven days away from home. The alert also advises residents to gather important documents, pets and fuel up vehicles.
