A pair of small earthquakes were reported in the Grande Prairie region over the last couple of days. According to Earthquakes Canada, the first was a 3.1 magnitude quake approximately 45 kilometres south of Grande Prairie at a depth of 3.7 kilometres, and was reported at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The second reported tremor was registered at 7:41 a.m. Thursday, and was 3.8 magnitude in strength, with an epicentre 38 kilometres south of the city at a depth of 1.5 kilometres. Earthquakes Canada says there have been no reports of damage, and the quakes were likely lightly felt in surrounding area.
