The Peace Regional RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect believed to be involved in an attempted theft at a house in Peace River.
Police say around 2:30 a.m. on June 22nd, the suspect entered a residence near 102 Street and used what authorities believe to be bolt cutters and attempted to steal a bicycle. The homeowner was able to scare off the would be thief, who fled the scene emptyhanded.
The suspect was last seen wearing a white hoodie with Reebok Logo, ball cap, grey or black pants, and light coloured shoes. They’re described as having a light to medium complexion and thun build.
Anyone with information is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
