UPDATE: ATCO says power has been restored.
A power outage has left a large chunk of Grande Prairie in the dark Thursday morning. It was first reported just before 8:30 a.m. and 5,886 customers are affected.
ATCO says the estimated time of restoration is 11:30 a.m. The cause is under assessment.
