Drive safe this August long weekend

As with every long weekend, officers will be out in full force over the next few days doing check stops on Alberta highways. Since the beginning of the May long weekend, there have been 65 collisions leading to 75 deaths, 125 crashes involving motorcycles, and two pedestrian fatalities.

Drivers are reminded to obey speed limits, put away electronic devices, and make sure everyone is buckled up. It should also go without saying that drinking and driving don’t mix.
