Alliance Pipeline back in service

The Alliance Pipeline is back up and running six days after it was shut down. The B.C. to Chicago Pipeline was put out of service last Friday after an unknown amount of H2S got into the system.
The toxic gas was burned off at two locations in southeastern Saskatchewan, while operations were suspended. The company argued flaring was the safest way to get rid of it.
No word yet on what caused the “brief operational upset” during maintenance at the Simonette gas plant southwest of Valleyview last Wednesday. Companies like Seven Generations Energy and Crew Energy had their operations affected.
