Three killed in multi-vehicle collision near Beaverlodge

After responding to reports of a serious traffic collision that saw a partial closure of Highway 43 near Range Road 113 on November 1st, the Beaverlodge RCMP has confirmed three deaths as a result of the crash.

According to police, on the morning of November 1st, at around 5:17 a.m. officers responded to a three-vehicle fatal collision.

Upon arrival, police discovered two occupants, a 21-year-old male, and a 48-year-old female from one of the vehicles were declared deceased on the scene. One occupant, a 44-year-old male of the second vehicle was also declared deceased. Police say the third driver received “no apparent” injuries.

Investigation into the matter suggests that poor visibility is believed to have been a contributing factor, and as of November 4th, the matter remains under investigation.

Snowfall warning issued for Grande Prairie

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie region with upwards of 25 centimetres of snow expected before it's all said and done. Officials say the snow will kick off Thursday night, and it's expected to intensify throughout Friday before tapering off on Saturday.
