Upcoming free skate to mark National Addictions Awareness Week

Free skating is back at Design Works Centre, with the next scheduled event on the calendar for November 27th.

From 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Weyerhaeuser North Arena, skaters will have the chance to engage with a variety of community leaders regarding National Addictions Awareness Week.

This year’s theme- Forging Connections, was chosen to offer curious residents the chance to engage with local first responders and community advocates.

Guests this year include Grande Prairie Storm players, members of the GPPS and the GPFD, along with representatives from a number of local organizations and city departments such as the Northreach Society.
