Wembley Wildcats among 85 teams selected to receive financial support from RONA

In celebration of the company’s 85th anniversary, Canadian home improvement retailer RONA has announced support for 85 local hockey teams across the country.

The 85 teams selected will be supported through RONA’s sponsorship program for employees’ children’s teams, and include the Wembley Wildcats.

RONA President and CEO J.P. Towner says the interest in the program throughout his company’s network has been “tremendous,” and adds that he is proud to bring hockey fever to dozens of teams at the local level.

85 of our employees’ children have been chosen, in our corporate and affiliated stores, at our head office, and in our distribution centres,” he says. “Hockey brings people together, and this program allows us to bring hockey fever to life locally and improve access to sport for young Canadians.”
