Snow accumulation has “not yet reached the threshold” for residential clearing, priority road clearing underway

Snow clearing on priority roads in Grande Prairie has begun after the recent dump on the swan city throughout the past week.

According to the city, crews have completed clearing Priority One roads and blading in Smith, Cobblestone, and Highland Park. Despite the clearing in these areas, officials maintain snow accumulation has not yet reached the threshold to begin residential clearing, and no parking bans are in effect.

The major arteries throughout GP are the main focus for crews now, with plows and sanders being rolled out on those roads and bus routes for ice control.

The city says priority bus stops are expected to be cleared by the morning of November 21st, followed by the clearing of Priority Two stops and trails.
