Delays expected on parts of Highway 40 after logging truck, sanding vehicle collision

Grande Prairie drivers are being advised of a traffic collision that is causing delays on Highway 40.

According to the RCMP, at around 7:00 a.m. on November 26th, police responded to a collision involving a logging truck and a sanding vehicle on Highway 40, between Canfor Road and the Cutbank River.

Emergency services remain on scene, and some “minor injuries” have been reported.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. As a result, the RCMP is advising travellers to plan ahead and anticipate traffic delays, as the roadway is down to one lane. Delays are expected for at least the next few hours.
