Grade 7 student wins 2024 PWPSD Christmas card art contest

A Grade 7 student at Harry Balfour School has been crowned the winner of the Peace Wapiti Public School Division’s 2024 Christmas card art contest.

Evelyn-Lou Wardley’s illustration, which depicts a cozy holiday fireplace scene, was selected from a pool of 42 submissions from students in Grades 7 to 9 across all PWPSD schools.

Participants were encouraged to submit their work under the themes- The best thing about Christmas or The best thing about the holiday season.

The judges say they chose Evelyn-Lou’s artwork for the annual Christmas card because it “captures the essence of the holiday,” with a focus on quality time with family and friends.
