County crews to resume snow clearing Friday

Snow clearing in the County of Grande Prairie is set to resume Friday, with temporary parking restrictions going into place for the communities of Wedgewood, Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge.

According to the county, there will be digital signs put up along streets impacted by the parking restrictions and the restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. so crews can work. However, though snow clearing is being done in these neighbourhoods, those living in the area are reminded that piling snow onto roadways is illegal because it causes delays for crews and is a traffic hazard.

In a release from the municipality, officials say “vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed.
