Odyssey House officials excited for GrandeCon 2025 after three successful years

The Grande Prairie Odyssey House is celebrating the success of its GrandeCon fundraising event’s three-year run.

According to the Odyssey House, throughout the past three years, GrandeCon has managed to bring together more than 15,000 pop culture fans from not only Grande Prairie, but other towns and cities in the surrounding area, as far away as Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort St. John.

In total, GrandeCon has raised what officials are calling an “astounding” $80,672.55, which has contributed to several programs and services, including the Emergency Shelter, Family Resource Centre, and Public Education.

The event was launched and organized by Odyssey House board members and was only ever intended to be an experiment, but now, officials say they are excited to continue the tradition as the project has proven to be a valuable resource for the Odyssey House.
