Grande Prairie Public Library hosting third annual Noon Year’s Eve

The Grande Prairie Public Library’s third annual Noon Year’s Eve is scheduled to return once again on December 31st from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Rotary Community Room.

Kids and their families are invited to count down to noon with fun traditions from around the world, and even a balloon drop to mark the new year, without having to keep the little ones up past bedtime.

The family-friendly event is free and open to all ages. Activities include mask and noisemaker crafts, adding a wish to the wishing wall, jumping over seven waves of pool noodles, and more.

GPPL Children’s Programmer Kate Renfree says the annual tradition is an important one for local children, allowing them to connect together while exploring traditions from around the globe.
