Good weather in the forecast for 2025 Grande North Winter Festival

The City of Grande Prairie’s annual Grande North Winter Festival is scheduled to begin on January 10th, and officials are encouraging all residents to consider coming out to enjoy the winter spirit with their community.

Residents are encouraged to don their best toques and mitts before heading downtown for three days of activities and wintertime fun.

Three locations will host a variety of free and paid activities including Bonnetts Energy Centre, Montrose Cultural Centre, and Muskoseepi Park.

Festival organizers describe Bonnetts as “the hub” of live entertainment during the festival and will host ice gardens, ice carving demonstrations, interactive ice carving, a snowball target, and live entertainment in The Bowes.

Nature will be the main focus at Muskoseepi Park with a skate party on the pond, horse and wagon rides, and maple taffy.

A detailed list of activities and their times is available on the city’s website.
