Chelsea Carey and Team Alberta have clinched a playoff berth at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Grande Prairie. She won her match up against Nova Scotia this morning 8-2 to guarantee a spot in the playoff game between the top two teams.
Carey has two games in hand on Jennifer Jones and Team Canada who sit in second with a 6-2 record. Also from draw 14, Saskatchewan doubled up on Newfoundland and Labrador 8-4, New Brunswick edged Quebec 6-5 and Northern Ontario dominated B.C. 10-3.
Krista McCarville’s rink is back in third place with a 6-3 record. Draw 15 gets underway at 1:30 at Revolution Place.
