Property taxes due by the end of the day

Both the City and County have extended hours for residents to pay their property taxes by the end of the day. Grande Prairie City Hall will accept tax payments from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the County Administration Office will be open half an hour earlier.
The average residential rate payer in the County will see their total municipal tax bill increase by 2 per cent, not including the provincial education and senior’s foundation requisitions. The City’s tax rate went up 2.25 per cent.
If you’re paying by cheque through the mail, make sure to send it off soon. A Canada Post labour distruption could start Saturday. Anyone paying their taxes late will be subject to a penalty.
