Evergreen Park prepared for emergencies

Evergreen Park has been designated as an evacuation centre for the region and cheques have been presented to prepare in the event of an emergency. The County of Grande Prairie and the MD of Greenview gave cheques to Evergreen Park for the purchase of an emergency backup generator. The County presented $175,000 while the MD of Greenview presented $125,000.

The piece of equipment will cost $360,000 and can be used if there is a power failure.

If an emergency were the happen in the City of Grande Prairie, County, MD of Greenview or any other part of the region, this would be the place to take refuge.
