The Grande Prairie Reds came close to winning provincials at home. Over the weekend, the bantam AA baseball team hosted the Alberta Tier 1 championships at Evergreen Park.
Eight teams from across the province competed, and the Reds managed to go undefeated through the semi finals. They fell 6-3 to the Strathmore Reds in the finals, and won’t be heading to westerns in St. Albert next weekend. The GP Reds lost only three games all season.
