Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park had hoped to have its soft opening this weekend, but clearly Mother Nature isn’t working in its favour. The weather needs to stick around minus 8 to minus 10 degrees in order for the ski hill to start making snow 24 hours a day.
Assistant General Manager Johnathan Clarkson says the temperatures look more promising going into the weekend, and he expects they’ll start making snow on Friday. Fingers crossed, they’re aiming for a new soft opening on Saturday, November 26th.
Nitehawk faced a similar situation in 2015 when it had to push its opening date to November 21st, but at that point they’d been making snow since October.
