Firefighters battle two blazes in La Glace in one day

Two fires broke out in La Glace in just one day this week. The first was at a shop at Range Road 80 and Highway 59 Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. The building was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Fortunately, no one was injured.

As crews were leaving that blaze around 11 a..m. they got called to another fire just north of the hamlet. More resources were called in to help put out a vehicle on fire in another shop. Again, no one was hurt.

The County Regional Fire Service is investigating the cause of both fires. Estimates of the damage are not yet ready.
