Possible TB exposure at two Edmonton outpatient clinics

If you’ve recently been to the Kaye Edmonton Clinic or the University of Alberta Hospital’s outpatient clinic, you may have been exposed to tuberculosis. Alberta Health Services has sent letters to 200 patients who may have been affected by a confirmed case at both locations. The letters have information on standard testing for the disease and treatment if needed.

AHS says there is no ongoing risk in either facility, and the general public is not considered at risk. Early diagnosis of TB is key in stopping its development and spread.
