A La Glace family has been picked as the County of Grande Prairie Farm Family for 2017. The Eady Family has farmed in the county for five generations. Agricultural Fieldman Sonja Raven says they exemplify hard work and dedication.
Wilfred and Annie Eady moved to Canada from England in 1928 and made their home northwest of La Glace. After their son rented land to farm on, the Eady’s purchased the land that they are on today in 1946.
Wilfred and Annie’s great-great grand children continue their tradition with their parents working on the farm.
The family will be recognized at the Peace Country Classic Agri-Show in March.
