The only candidate for leadership of the Alberta Liberal Party has pulled his name out of the race. In a post to his website, St. Albert Mayor Nolan Crouse wouldn’t comment on the reason for his decision, only saying it is private.

Crouse announced his candidacy at the beginning of the month. Nominations for the party’s leadership close Friday and there are currently no other official candidates listed on its website.
