Organizers pleased with success of AFCA conference

Fire chiefs from across the province are returning to their respective communities after the conclusion of the annual Alberta Fire Chiefs Association conference. The event was held in Grande Prairie for the first time in its history. City of Grande Prairie Fire Chief Dan Lemieux says the pre conference live burn training proved to be a big hit.
“We put 62 people through that live burn training.  That was a very good success. And something that the association is looking at maybe continuing into the future.”
Both Lemieux and County Fire Chief Everett Cooke says the event was very beneficial to their respective departments, as they had the chance to take in both the trade show and some of the presentations.
