Grande Prairie Relay for Life ready to roll out at new location

The 12th annual Grande Prairie Relay for Life is set for tomorrow night. This year, the event move indoors at the County Sportsplex. Canadian Cancer Society Revenue Development Co-ordinator Sandy Hunter says the move provides some immediate benefits.
“Anyone who has been a participant for a while knows that last year it was really wet and cold, and two years ago we actually had to cancel the event because of a lightning storm.  So having it indoors this year is a nice new opportunity for us.”
Around 75 teams have registered so far, with organizers setting a goal to raise 425 thousand dollars. It all starts at 7 tomorrow night and wraps up around 7am Saturday morning.
