Honey bee farming a highlight for Alberta Open Farm Days

Open Farm days go this weekend in Alberta with a chance to check out some local produce and farms in the peace country. People can dress up like a beekeeper, make beeswax candles, tour the facility and taste local honey at the Simoneau Honey Buzziness. It is located 16 kilometres south of Peace River.

GP Local Food Fest will also be going at the GP County Roads RV Park and Corn Maze. You will be able to taste and purchase local foods. Alberta Open Farm Days is a collaborative, province-wide, two-day event that gives Albertans an opportunity to experience the farm and understand where their food comes from.
