Whitecourt RCMP are on the hunt for an armed robbery suspect. A man wearing a mask, white gloves, and grey coveralls held up the Quality Inn around 3 a.m. the morning of September 30th, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, roughly 5’6″, and 250 pounds. Witnesses believed he was carrying a gun, and an air soft gun was found by police nearby, along with some of the money.
A red Dodge Caliber was seen driving into the parking lot, leaving a short time later, and it’s believed the suspect was picked up by the driver. Police weren’t able to stop the vehicle. An investigation is still underway.
