UPDATE: The Town of River says it’s estimated the water main break will take 12 hours to repair. The intersection near the roundabout where the break occurred has been closed to traffic and detour signs have been put up.
Businesses along Peace River’s Main Street will likely be without water for most of today. There has been a major water main break near the Shell on Main Street.
The town says crews are responding and water is being shut off for repairs. An update is expected later today.
