Suspected grow op near Peace River busted

320 pot plants have been seized from a suspected grow op south of Peace River. Peace Regional RCMP searched a rural home near Marie Reine Thursday, turning up the plants, a large amount of packaged marijuana, and tools needed for its production and cultivation.

“These seizures and the recovery of stolen property are the result of dedicated members doing good police work in our rural areas,” says Staff Sergeant Brent Meyer

Officers also found a stolen ATV. A 34 year old man from British Columbia was arrested and charges are pending against him. They include possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.
