New post office opens in Grande Prairie London Drugs

A new Canada Post outlet has opened in Grande Prairie.

The newest location is at the London Drugs across from Grande Prairie Regional College.

All postal services will be offered seven days a week, and Store Manager Denise Shank believes customers will appreciate the convenience.

“I think that there’s going to be some natural growth in traffic patterns because of the post office. How much? I can’t quantify that, so we’re excited that it’s going to bring any traffic into the store, and we’re excited that we can offer this to our customers.”

The addition also means another location for parcels to be picked up at, a demand that Canada Post media relations manager Phil Legault says is growing with the boom of e-commerce.

“What we’re finding is that by adding more postal outlets, it gives more opportunities that if you’re not at home and a parcel comes to your door, now that parcel will go to a postal outlet like perhaps this London Drugs, that might be a little bit more accessible for you.”

There are now seven Canada Post locations in Grande Prairie.
