A golfer was shot in the leg while playing at a course south of Grande Prairie. RCMP say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The bullet may have come from the nearby shooting club, as police have determined there was an organized shooting competition taking place in the area at the time.

The victim was taken to hospital by a witness and has since been treated and released. Mounties say they are still investigating the shooting but are confident that there is no risk to public safety at this time.
