Byelection to be held to replace Wembley councillor

People in Wembley will be heading back to the polls sooner than expected. A byelection has been called in the town to replace Councillor Nicholas McDonald.

McDonald was acclaimed to council in the 2017 municipal election and his resignation was announced at the September 24th meeting. It was effective immediately.

A byelection has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 20th, with nominations due on October 23rd. They will be accepted at the Wembley Town Office from 10 a.m. to noon that day, along with a $100 deposit.
