Hillside residents asked to help pick entrance feature designs

The city is asking residents of the Hillside neighbourhood for help narrowing down the design of both an entrance sign design and neighbourhood entrance feature.

An online survey has been set up and will ask residents on their references for the logo, the entrance sign and the landscaping around the sign. It features three logo concepts and a variety of entrance feature design renderings.

Officials say the designs were originally created based off of stories residents and students were asked to submit, on how they feel about the neighbourhood.

The survey takes about five minutes to complete and will be available until June 19th. Results are expected to be released soon after the survey closes, as the city plans to start the construction this summer.

The entrance features are part of the Hillside Area Revitalization Plan which was approved in 2017.
