Snowboarders headed to Grande Prairie for Northern Alberta Series

Nitehawk Recreation Area is hosting the first stop of the Alberta Snowboarding Association’s Northern Alberta Series this weekend.

On Saturday, athletes from Grande Prairie, Jasper, Hinton and other northern Alebrta communities will be taking part in the slopestyle event.

They’ll be competing to collect points that go towards their provincial and national rankings.

The north versus south provincial championships are slated for March 15th in Calgary.
