School bus driver remembered as friendly and hardworking

The family of the Peace River School Division spare bus driver who passed away after a collision on Highway 35 Monday morning has released a statement thanking the community for its support.

They admit they had no idea just how many lives Dellis Partridge had touched, which has become evident in the days since his tragic passing.

Students have said he always greeted them with friendly conversation, and treated them with respect.

Likewise, Partridge was highly regarded by his fellow school bus drivers as reliable and dedicated to safety.

A funeral service will be held in Grimshaw Monday, but students at local schools are already honouring his memory by creating banners in appreciation of bus drivers.
