County JDA Kings kick off playoff run at home tonight

After essentially being given a bye in the first round of the NWJHL playoffs, the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings will see their first postseason action tonight.

The Beaverlodge Blades were unable to ice a team for the series, meaning the JDA Kings automatically made it to the semi-finals.

They’ll host the Fairview Flyers tonight at the Crosslink County Sportsplex starting at 8, with game two set for Saturday at home as well.

It should be a tight round, as the regular season series was split three-two for the Kings, and their losses came in regulation and a shootout.
