UPDATE: 26 year old man Grande Prairie man found

RCMP say they have located 26 year old Jay Michael Birkbeck after he was reported missing on March 19, 2015.

He was found safe and unharmed and RCMP are thanking the public for their help in locating him.

A 26 year old Grande Prairie man has been reported missing.

Jay Michael Birkbeck was working in the Grovedale area Friday night when he told a friend he was going into Grande Prairie to pick up cigarettes and other personal items, and possibly meet up with a woman.

He did not return to the work site and has not been seen or heard from since.

Birkbeck is described as Caucasian, 5’9″, 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing jeans and a red t-shirt at the time of his disappearance.

He has distinctive tattoos, including a cross in the centre of his throat and the words “Live Free Love Fast” and “Carpe Diem” on the sides of his neck.

Although police don’t believe anything suspicious has happened to Birbeck, his friends and family are concerned for his well being.

Anyone who may have information on where he is is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
