The Grande Prairie Public Library is hosting an event to help connect locals to an international family tree.
The Global Family Reunion is being hosted in New York City on June 6 with churches, libraries, and community centres around the world planning satellite parties in tandem.
Those taking part can find how they are related, however distantly, to other participants, celebrities like Beyonce and Daniel Radcliffe or historical figures like Albert Einstein and Abraham Lincoln.
The branch party at the GP Public Library is the only public party being held in Canada.
