The Grande Prairie Thrashers kick off their season this weekend. The local lacrosse team will host the Vermilion Roar at the County Sportsplex Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Thrashers will play a 16-game season with the Rocky Mountain Junior Lacrosse League, and the 2015 Provincial Lacrosse Championships will be held here in July.
