Titans claim girls city rugby championship

The city has a new high school girls rugby champion. The Peace Wapiti Academy Titans faced off against the St Joe’s Celtics at Macklin Field Wednesday night with the Titans taking the win 22-5.

It’s been a stellar year for the Titans, as they kept their winning streak alive all season long.

The team of 18 girls from both PWA and the Beaverlodge Regional High School will next have to earn their spot representing northern Alberta at provincials.

They’ll face off against the Grande Prairie Composite High Warriors next week to see who will claim the berth.
