More than 1,600 ATCO Electric customers are without power in the Grande Prairie area. A large area is affected to the east side of the city.
The outage was reported as of 6:13 p.m. Tuesday evening. The estimated time of restoration is 8:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage is under investigation.
