Five advance voting locations for the provincial election around the Peace Country

Advance voting for the Provincial General Election is open from Tuesday, May 23rd to Saturday, May 27th. There are five advanced voting locations across the peace region, including the L Wing at Northwestern Polytechnic, the RCCG Winners’ Assembly, Design Works Centre, Clairmont Seniors Centre and Beaverlodge Recreation Centre.

According to Elections Alberta, “These locations offer the Vote Anywhere Service, meaning that any elector can vote at any location and receive the ballot for their electoral division.”

In this year’s election five candidates are running in both the Grande Prairie and Central Peace-Notley ridings, four candidates are running in Peace River and three in Grande Prairie-Wapiti.

In 2019 Elections Alberta reported 2,089 voted in the Grande Prairie riding, and 2,329 in the Grande Prairie – Wapiti riding voted during advance voting.

Election day in the province is May 29th.
